As you emerge through our walkways and visit our classrooms, the environment speaks loads of detail about its safety and care for the children. The Preschool proposes a full range of activities beyond the classroom.

It is a pleasure to welcome all parents, children, families and friends to the Preschool department of Brainy Bairn School. We strive for nothing less than assisting our young pupils to achieve their full potential with a foundation grounded in Christian principles and values. Through pastoral care equal to that of family and pure dedication, we provide an excellent and memorable start to the academic life of our young members where they are free to explore, learn and grow holistically.

The curriculum derived from the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) is broad and balanced, giving equal focus on assisting our pupils to develop academic skills that will prepare them for life itself. Enthusiastic and loving educators work diligently to support the learning of children through well planned, stimulating and exciting activities in a safe learning environment. We maintain their natural curiosity and introduce them to aspects of Christian living that will inspire in them, generosity, responsibility, care and be valuable young members of society.

We believe the success to your child’s education requires a partnership between home and school. We at Brainy Bairn Primary already have a growing but strong identity and reputation for motivating and inspiring all children in our care to attain their maximum and truest potentials.

We endeavour to ensure our children have a positive experience at school. We promote good Christian education and ethos through our curriculum and acts of Collective Worship, the needed impetus to develop a solid foundation and experience for a life-long learning, and for a rapidly changing world.

Creativity is highly prioritized and has a pre-eminent place in our education. We have a team of dedicated and experienced staff who provide well planned and organised lessons and activities. Teachers aim at making learning active, exciting and relevant for all children. They work tirelessly to ensure that children, regardless of their backgrounds, have equal access to a broad, balanced and differentiated curriculum, and are provided with opportunities to develop their understanding of self-worth, self-esteem and confidence.

Our teaching staff consistently encourage our children to strive to be responsible for their learning, grow in confidence and become independent. We also aim to develop an utmost caring atmosphere, with older children being encouraged to help younger ones and take on some responsibility, appropriate for their age.

Academic progress and achievement, Art, Music, Computing and Sports are particular strengths of our school. We also have high behaviour and engagement expectations of all members of the whole school community in order to readily prepare our children for their future education, and to contribute meaningfully to our society and the wider world. It is sheer joy to see our entire staff model these high expectations in their daily interactions and behaviours around the school.

Welcome to the Secondary School department of Brainy Bairn School, the school that provides structure, support, celebrates success and recognises the special talents of our students. Our students receive high quality education, which shapes them into confident and competent individuals, equipped with 21st century skills. I feel very privileged to be Head of Secondary School at Brainy Bairn School. We are a very successful secondary school which I am proud to say is one of the best performing schools in the North West part of Accra. At BBS Secondary, we celebrate the strength of our school community and we ensure that our students enjoy being in school. Our curriculum and extracurricular programmes are designed to make our students leave school with skills that enable them move on to the next stages of their educational careers with confidence. We emphasise high standards of behaviour, uniform, focus on learning and respect for each other and the environment. By providing a comprehensive, broad and balanced curriculum for all our students, we are able to identify and develop individual talents and interests. My goal is for BBS Secondary to be a school where success is achieved within a nurturing Christian community that provides structure, support, celebrates success and recognises the unique talents of young people as individuals.
